But Chiang said additional cash management solutions are needed because state tax revenues are $2.6 billion less than what Gov. Jerry Brown and state lawmakers assumed in their optimistic budget last year. Meanwhile, Chiang said, the state is spending $2.6 billion more than state leaders planned on.
So even if they had gotten their magically optimistic level of tax revenue, they still spent even more than that. Genius.

p.s. And as usual, California, stay in your own damn state. You made the mess, you live with it.

When I first saw some rumor that Barack Obama had sent a secret letter to Iranian officials, I thought, right, like we're supposed to believe those gosh darn lying Iranians. But then again, Barry hasn't really exactly been Mr. Trustworthy. Unfortunately we now know the contents of that letter and lengths to which Obama was willing to negotiate.
